Disney Movies Coming Out In 2021- Movies to see

Disney Movies Coming Out In 2021 are really worth the wait. In 2021, Disney will be releasing several live-action films and animated films. Additionally, a Pixar movie, and even a couple of Marvel blockbusters.

Indeed, 2020 has been a rough year, especially for the movie business with movie theaters around the world closed. As a result, that has led to a lot of movie releases being delayed. To say the least, much of The Walt Disney Company’s 2020 slate was either released on Disney+ or pushed back for a later release. Fortunately, many of those delayed films are finally set to make their debut in 2021!

Let’s see some of the movies that we would see in 2021 from Disney.

 The Disney’s Raya And The Last Dragon – March 2021

Starting off Disney’s 2021 slate of movies in the Disney animated film Raya and the Last Dragon. It is set to release in March 2021 both in theaters and on Disney+ as part of the streaming service’s premier access feature.

It will be set in a world where dragons and humans no longer live together. This will be because the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humans 500 years ago. As a result, Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) must track down the last remaining dragon in the hopes of defeating an evil monster who has come back to terrorize Kumandra. It will be worth the wait.

Marvel’s Black Widow – May 2021

Another is the Marvel Studio’s Black Widow was supposed to release during the summer of 2020.  As a result of the happenings, it was unfortunately pushed back. Interestingly, Marvel fans can rejoice, because Black Window finally has a new release date, May 2021!

In addition, is then Scarlett Johansson returns to her Black Widow roots for this feature film centered around her character.

The film takes place after Captain America: Civil War. It will follow Natasha as she reluctantly reconnects with the family in order to save the world. Florence Pugh and David Harbour will also star in the film as Black Widow’s misfit family.

Disney’s Cruella – May 2021 -Disney MoviesComing Out In 2021

Also, 101 Dalmations has already been created with Glenn Close playing sinister villain Cruella de Vil. Although, Disney has never made a Cruella de Vil origin story, until now. Interestingly, Emma Stone will play a young Cruella in the 1970s who is trying to make a name for herself in the fashion industry when she becomes obsessed with dogs’ skin.

This has always been one of Disney’s more interesting and sinister villains so fans are extremely excited about this.

Pixar’s Luca – June 2021

Pixar Animation Studio’s got the short end of the stick in 2020 since Onward released just days before the world shut down. The shut down was due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, they’re hoping to make up for that in 2021 with the release of their brand new film Luca.

Luca will follow its titular character as he has the best summer ever in the Italian Riviera alongside a newfound friend, Alberto. Plot twist, Luca’s summer is complicated by the fact that Alberto is secretly a sea monster.

Marvel’s Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings – July 2021

Marvel’s anticipated second release of 2021 will be Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The film focuses on Simi Liu as Shang-Chi, a skilled martial artist who must deal with his past when he becomes infatuated with the Ten Rings organization.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a labor of love. The movie has been in development since 2011. It didn’t start to be seriously developed by Marvel until 2013. Unfortunately, filming had to be suspended due to COVID-19 earlier this year. Luckily, the film has persisted and Marvel fans can look forward to watching this superhero movie in July 2021.

Disney’s Jungle Cruise – July 2021

The highly awaited Jungle Cruise is finally setting sail in July 2021 after being delayed twice. The live-action movie is inspired by the beloved Disney Parks attraction that Walt Disney himself had a hand inc creating.

The Jungle Cruise will focus on Dwayne Johnson as Frank a riverboat captain who gets talked into taking Dr. Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt), a scientist searching for a magical cure, into the jungle in search of the Tree of Life. Not only is the journey ahead a difficult one, but it also doesn’t help that Frank and Dr. Lily are constantly at odds with each other. Watch out.

Marvel’s Eternals – November 2021

In 2021, Eternals, the studio’s third feature film slated to release in November of 2021. It will be set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, Eternals follows an immortal alien race who must come out of hiding in order to protect humanity from the evil Deviants.  

Disney’s Encanto – November 2021- Disney MoviesComing Out In 2021-

Raya and the Last Dragon won’t be the only Disney animated film making its debut in 2021. As the year goes on,  Encanto will also premiere and make fans fall in love with a new magical world.

The movie will focus on a young Colombian girl who’s family all have magical powers, everyone except her. Encanto will mark Disney animation studio’s first movie centered on Latin American culture in 21 years. Another fun fact of the film is the fact that Lin-Manuel Miranda is developing the music.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home Sequel  – December 2021

Rounding up 2021 will be the release of Marvel’s untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel. If all goes according to plan, it will be Marvel’s fourth film of the year.

Tom Holland and Zendayawill reprise their roles for the sequel with Spider-Man‘s of the past also set to make appearances in the sequel including Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield.

In addition to several cameos planned, the sequel will also be introducing some new technology. This is to help actors get into character while also staying safe because of the pandemic.
