Thirdly, you must dress properly. Dress like the post you’re applying for, look smart, and smell nice when going for an interview. All of these things are the first check the interviewer will note about you; also it has a way of adding to your mark.

They’re questions that you have to have at the back of your mind before thinking of getting a job. If you really want to make it in your interview questions, you must know all this:

  1. Tell me about yourself.

This is one of the most common job interview questions “tell me about yourself”.  It’s mostly an interview opening question. When answering this question, make sure your question is simple.

Use this question as an opportunity to sell yourself for the role you’re applying for. However, you briefly tell them about your work experience. Avoid making many statements when explaining who you’re and you need to say all your work experience that’s in your CV.

Simply pick out one from your CV, they can find out about the rest when going through your CV. Also avoid selling yourself too hard, so that the interviewer will not see you be boasting. Your answer should be short, “one minute long”.

  1. What do you know about this company?

Before going for an interview, make research about the company you’re applying for a job. When answering, start with the basic parts of the company. For example, the year it started and what the company does. You really don’t need to tell them everything about the company, the basic information is enough. Always make your answer short and simple.

  1. Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

This is another common interview question you’re likely to be asked. You don’t need to be too specific. However, the interviewer is not expecting you to be specific.  When asked this question, tell them about your ambitions and skills you intend to acquire before then.

Note, don’t mention working with a competitor, and don’t tell them how you intend to open your own company. They might assume you want to steal knowledge from their company to open yours.

  1. Why do you want to work here?

This question can be very tricky and this question can make anyone to be disqualified.  When answering this question, please tell them it’s because of payment or financial benefit. Please avoid saying anything close to it.

You can answer this question by telling them what appealed to you in the job advertisement. Let your interviewer know that you’re interested to work because of the produces, tell them how you intend to add progress to their company.

  1. What can you bring to this role?

Do know why I like this question? That’s because it’s a key that you can use to sell yourself to the interviewer. All you should do is to present your words right. You can use the skills you’ve acquired to sell yourself with this question.

  1. What is your biggest strength?

Honestly speaking, this question can be a stumbling block to anyone. The interviewer uses this to know if you’re capable to handle the job. Your answer should be straight, for example, your answer should address a strength that’s relevant to the position you’re applying for. Your strength can be anything that makes you stand out. It might be your past experience in school or where you’ve worked before.

  1. What is your biggest weakness?

I honestly don’t like this question, but this is one of the questions you might not avoid. Almost all interviewers ask this question. It’s one of the most typical interview questions. Use this question to address any difficulty you’ve faced during your past experience. Tell them how difficult it was for you and how it turned into your strength.

  1. What do you consider as one of your biggest achievements?

This question is similar to the “your biggest strength” question. Most times, interviewers will want to use this to make you provide more of your skills. For example, your accomplishment could be a student project which you solved and your personal courage.

  1. Tell us about the challenge you’ve faced and how you solved it?

This is simply a behavioral interview that enables the interviewer to see how you’ll react to problems that may arise. Simply think up an answer that’ll help to sell yourself.
